Yup, you heard me right. As you read on the title of this post, same s*x marriage is now constitutional in California after the California's Supreme Court ruled in a 4-to-3 decision to overturn the same s*x marriage ban on Thursday, May 15, 2008. This decision will be effective in 30 days.According to state's Supreme Court, the "right to form a family relationship" applied to all Californians regardless of sexuality.
California will be the second State after San Francisco to allow same s*x marriages. The state currently offers same-s*x couples who register as domestic partners the same legal rights and responsibilities as married men and women.
