Truth About Life: Two equally qualified people walk into an opportunity - say a job- and only one of them comes out successful. This is not new to you, right?... from job interviews, to getting a promotion at work, even making money online. You name it, this statement really happens. Some people fail while some succeed.
The question is: What causes some people to succeed and others to fail?
“After three decades of painstaking research, the Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck believes that the answer to the puzzle lies in how people think about intelligence and talent. Those who believe they were born with all the smarts and gifts they’re ever going to have approach life with what she calls a “fixed mind-set.” Those who believe that their own abilities can expand over time, however, live with a “growth mind-set.” - excerpt from The New York Times.
Do you get it? What do you think? I think, no matter if you succeed or fail in your endeavor, what counts is you tried and never quit. You'll never know unless you try, that is.
You Are Not The Best Person You Can Be
I Dream About Grapes - What Does It Mean?
Last night, I dreamed about grapes - a lot of grapes hanging on a vineyard. Because of curiosity, I made a research on what does it mean "dreaming about grapes" and here's what I found:
- To eat grapes in your dream, you will be hardened with many cares; but if you only see them hanging in profuseness among the leaves, you will soon attain to eminent positions and will be able to impart happiness to others. For a young woman, this dream is one of bright promise. She will have her most ardent wish gratified. - Source: 10000 Dream Interpretations, by Gustavus Hindman Miller
Check out the sentence in bold - it is exactly as my dream was. It said "you will soon attain eminent positions and will be able to impart happiness to others" Is this for real? Just wondering...
Check out the italized sentence, it said my most ardent wish will soon be gratified. I am still wondering what that wish was... if it will come true, the question is "When?"
Do you believe in this interpretation? What do you think?
Breeding Lilacs Out of the Dead Land
APRIL is the cruelest month,
breeding lilacs out of the dead land,
mixing memory and desire,
stirring dull roots with spring rain.
Winter kept us warm,
covering earth in forgetful snow,
feeding a little life with dried tubers."
--T.S. Eliot, the Wasteland
Are you familiar with these lines? I saw this poem a while ago and I thought it might be interesting to discuss this here in Space of Reality. Do you think April is the cruelest month - based from the poem? Why do you think so.
I know the month of April already passed months ago. Some of the important days of this month were remembered, some were forgotten. In some part of the world, the lilacs bloom and then die. During April, summer will come, with its heat and violence in the streets and the cinemas. Life tends to come and go and all we can do is make our moment to moment decisions.
Can you relate? It is our individual choices that make up the history of humankind. What are you going to do? What is important to you, and how are you going to make it important for everyone else?

I Can't Make You Love Me
Love... another four-letter word that is mostly hard to define and understand. Agree? I think, we all have our own definition for LOVE, but most of the times, there are times we don't actually understand it.
Just a question: Have you ever experienced loving someone and tried so hard just to make him love you back? In the end, you just give up saying "I Can't Make You Love Me".
Maybe not. Maybe yes. Maybe unsure.
"I can't make you love me" Is this a sign of defeat or just acceptance?
In my opinion, when you love someone, you don't have to expect him to love you back. Loving is loving. No expectations involved. It is great to love and be loved back , but making someone love you back is not good. Let him love you without pressure ;0 What do you think?
